Can't open the same file from disk on two computers...why?

Both computers I work on have Microsoft Office Student & Teacher Edition 2003.
At work I can open any document ( Word or Excell ) that is saved on to the
floppy disk. But when I get home I can only open those documents that I
originally saved from home, not the ones I saved or edited at work. Have I
locked the documents at work somehow? How do I get the same documents to
open both places?

Try copying the suspect files to the hard drive first.
