Can't receive an exe file

I've been trying to get an exe file from a support team
for a product I have. Outlook strips it out. I
recognize the reasons for this, especially in light of
all the viruses going around. But, how can I turn it off
so I can get the file I need from the support folks? Is
there a way to recover the file that was taken out of the
email?

Depends on version of OL
One simple way would be for the exe to be sent in a zip file
