Can't Save to Outlook Backup

I have Outlook 2002 and have used the backup utility
without problem until now. Clicking on "Save backup" now
returns the following message, "Cannot create or replace
Outlook backup. Invalid MS-Dos application."

Thank you - I had tried re-installing before without
success, but your reply led me to something else, and i
stupidly realised that my Backup CD was full. I have
formatted it and the utility works normally. Sorry to
waste your time.
