Can't send/receive email on Outlook 2003

I had been using Outlook 2003, w/o any problems until a month ago. Computer
froze up, and I tried to backup my outlook data, but evidentally couldn't
understand the differences in .pst data items. After getting computer back
from tech who got it working again, was unable to send/receive email from
Outlook 2003.

I tried repairing, finally totally uninstalled and reinstalled with the same
results. Files are still present - and have tried to set up email accounts
again--unable to import from Outlook Express at all. Manual setup appears
to work as emails are sent and then received in OUTLOOK EXPRESS -- but never
show up in Outlook 2003.

When I try to "send" an email in Outlook, I get "Outlook fatal error"
message. If i try to move up/down, or set as default, message is that
"account not found - must have been deleted" even if I have just set up the
account.

Evidentally, the problem results in setting up the .pst to receive mail....
but I can't figure out how to fix it.

Thanks.
