Can't view jpg files embedded in email message

Hello:
I run Windows XP and Microsoft Office-Outlook 2007 which I recently upgraded
to. A friend will occasionally send emails with embedded jpg pictures in
the body of the text from a mac. The pictures are never attached files.
Prior to upgrading to Office 2007, I had Office 2003 and had no problems in
viewing these embedded pictures. Now, I am unable to view jpg files that are
embedded along with the text. Outlook must be downloading the images
because the email file size is aproximately 4 MB. The body of the text will
show <image1.jpg> and <image2.jpg>. However, it is simply text in the email
and not a link to a picture. The picture part of the email message is simply
a white screen.

I ensured that the sender is in the "safe senders list" and checked that in
Trust Center/Privacy options that "Permit downloads in email messages from
senders and to recipients defined in the safe senders and safe recipients
list used by the junk email filter". I also verified that "also trust email
from my contacts" is checked. She is a contact.

Can someone help me resolve this issue so I can again view the pictures
within the emails?

Thanks very much,
Scott L.

I am having a similar issue with Outlook 2007. In my case, embedded .jpg
files show up as red boxes with an X in them. Can anyone help me to figure
out why this might be happening, as well?
