CD Missing

S

I had Office 2003 on my system. I recently had to replace the hard drive. I
still have the CD Key but do not have the CD to reload the program on my
system. Is there any way to get a copy of the CD from Microsoft? I have
tried contacting them and every avenue I have found requires paying a fee
just to talk to someone. I purchased the system from Dell and they will not
send me the disks even though I have explained I have my new system packet
and purchased the program from them - which they have verified - and I never
received the Office 2003 CD that I had purchased. They will not help and
told me to contact Microsoft.

He had the Office 2003 suite installed, not a trial. Dell should send him the
installation disks. He did have to pay extra for the Office suite and it would
not have been cheap. I have bought extra software when I have bought a new
computer in the past, the disks were always included and no where did they say
they were OEM. Use to be programs included with computers were on the recovery
disk, nowadays they are on a hard drive partition.
The poster should insist Dell send the disks, he did pay for them.

I agree - this is one of those times when the poster is going to have to put
his foot down. I'm afraid it may not work but I hope it does. Office is not
cheap.
