CGI Bin writting

Hello, I have hosting through GoDaddy and I have the
package with CGI bins. when i try to create a form i never
receive the email for the form back. I use FP2003 and set
it up the way I think it should be but still never get the
response. can anyone help me write it properly... godaddy
says it is a problem with FP. Also I feel that i have
tried everything to make this work. One thing to note:
when I have an email in place on the FP side and I go to
save it tells me that I cannot use an email response with
this account that it may not be set up on the server or it
is on a disk based something or other. Also when I use one
of the forms on the internet, the GDFORM.CGI in the CGI
Folder get updated with a new modified time stamp, but
still I do not get the response.... any help will do

You'll get that message you mention when you're working locally on a disk
web, or a server based local web without mail transport. it's normal, just
ignore it and select "no" so that FrontPage doesn't remove the email
recipient.

the ability to email the form data can be turned off and on by the server
admins. maybe they need to turn yours on?

I've had a couple of clients using the godaddy server/hosting and they were
able to get the "ContentSeed" system going and that does require special
permissions for uploads and a tweak or two, so you'll probably get the
FrontPage forms working right if you stick to it.

if you just want to use something else I found this; www.cluxa.com to be
very nice and easy to use. (PHP)
alternatively you could write your own form handler and just have the
FrontPage form submit to it. while it may sound difficult, it's really not
all that bad and there are tons of examples and articles on the subject.
