change subtasks to tasks

I created an outline and want to change it by moving a subtask back to a
higher level, but when I click on the subtask and then click the "Outdent"
arrow, nothing happens.

Hi Jeremy,

Are you using Project 2003 and have not installed SP-1? That bug was
fixed with SP-1. For information on downloading and installing the
latest Service Pack (SP-2) see:

Hi Jeremy,

You're welcome and thanks for the feedback.

As to the ongoing problem: Is your project sorted? Try sorting by ID
(Project > Sort > By ID) and see if you can outdent.

It still doesn't outdent after sorting by ID (actually, it was already
sorted by WBS code, which provides the same sort order). In any case, I've
decided to just work with it as is and change the task names to make it more
accurate, so it's not as much of a problem as before. Still, it would be nice
to be able to do this in future when a workaround might not be as convenient.

It sounds as though there may be a problem with your file if you cannot
still outdent.

remove the spaces and convert the at to an @.
