Change the date field format in mailmerged documents (Office XP)

I have had this problem using data from both Access and Excel in Word
mailmerges: the date is formatted the way I want it in the data file (eg 10
January 2005), but in the merged document it comes out as 1/10/05. I can't
find a way round it. Has anyone else had this problem?

I think that you will find this page useful:
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MailMerge/index.htm, basically you will
want to modify the mergefield in your Word master document to
include the formatting that you want. { = { Mergefield Date \@
"d MMMM yyyy" }

Select the merge date field in the document and r-click and Toggle Field
Codes, now edit it to look like:

{MERGEFIELD "Date" \@ "d MMMM yyyy"}

where "Date" is whatever field from the data source the date is supplied
from.
