Change the view on the task details form in MP 2003

I want to add more information to the task details form. I want the actual
start and finish dates to be on the form and be able to make updates. I also
want the finish date for the predecessors to be on the form.

Or can the color of the font for the predecessor/successor name on the
details task form coincide with the font color selected in the "Format - Text
Styles - Critical Task - Font Color".

I want to be able to identify the predecessor in the detail tasks form that
is the driver for the task identified - ie, the critical path

I think you can't add anything to the build-in task details form

1. on the details form, there is actual dates and also baseline dates, you
can make updates. (use optionbutton to switch between these dates)
2. for color, i think it is not possible
3.it is also the function i want project to provide. You can make your own
task details form by VBA.

Too bad it can't be customized.

The details form in my MP2003 does not have the actual and baseline info.
It only shows the plan start and finish. I am not familiar with the
optionbutton. Where I find it?

I have dabbled in VBA, so I would have to read up on how to create my own
form. Any pointers you can give me?

Hi,

i use project2000.
there are sevel forms showing task detail information.
Be sure, you are using "Task details form" not "task form
on the top-left part of the form under "Name:", you can find:
Dates
Start:
Finish:
Current Baseline Actual
select what date you want to use by click current or baseline or actual.

If you are able to use Basic, then you are able to use VBA.
I think what you need to learn are the objects of Project.
Try to read microsoft project visual basic help first.

Thank you. I finally figured out the option button. The detail task form
does show it, I was not seeing it. Duh! So now I can toggle between
current, baseline and actual. And thanks for the put on the VBA.
