From PWA, a Resource Manager opens a project in Project
Pro using the "Open in Microsoft Project" option. Once in
the project plan, and after making some changes, he
chooses to Save the Project Plan and is presented with an
MS Project error dialog box stating "Permission denied.
Your security settings do not allow you to publish against
this server. Please contact your administrator to obtain
proper access rights." This is fine, as we do not want
this role to make changes to the project plan.
HOWEVER, the changes are in fact saved, in spite of that
error message, **but only within ProjectPro**. That is,
when choosing to access the project details from PWA
(selecting the project name hyperlink within Project
Center) the original plan is in tact, but whenever the
project plan is access via PWA ("Open in Microsoft
Project") OR opened direct from within ProjectPro, the
project plan reflects the changes that were made by the
Resource Manager.
The resource managers are not a part of any other group,
and the problem is repeatable.
Any ideas???
