changing actual start without it changing baseline

I cannot change actual start and end without it changing the baseline.
tried-saved baseline many times, unsaved baseline and resaved, removed
predecessors too.

Any help is appreciated

Hi DDe,

Are you viewing the Baseline Start and Baseline Finish fields or the
Start and Finish fields? They are separate fields. If you place your
mouse over the column heading, you will be able to see the "true" field
name.

When you save a baseline the Start and Finish fields are duplicated into
the Baseline Start and Baseline Finish fields and are not changed unless
you re-save the baseline.
