Changing All Project Dates

Jacques

I need to move my entire project (keeping all of the respective dates) by
about two weeks - how would I do that.

Hi Jacques,

If the project doesn't have any constraints, you may move the project start
or end date by Project > Project Information, and changing the date there.

If you have placed constraints in the project, show the Analysis Toolbar and
click the Adjust Dates button.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hi Julie - Thanks so much for responding...

OK - stupid question...how do I tell if there is constraints? And just so I
am clear - I know how to change the begining and end, but what I want to
change is all of the dates, by some amount. So the the tasks (all of them)
all move together a certain amount of days - does that make sense, is that
possible?

That is what the methods Julie recommend, do.
Constraint generate an icon in teh Indicators column.

Hi Jacques,

You are welcome.

Please don't worry about *any* question ever being stupid -- Project has a
fairly steep learning curve :)

You can tell if a task has constraints by looking at the Indicator column
(marked with the blue "i") in the Task Sheet (left side of the Gantt Chart
view.) If you typed Start or Finish dates for your tasks, chances are the
tasks are constrained and you will need to use the Adjust Dates button on
the Analysis Toolbar.

The schedule of the tasks should be driven by predecessor and successor
relationships (links).
You may find it helpful to take a look at Mike Glen's series of articles on
Project at:

Mike does a great job stepping you through setting up a project from the
very beginning.

I hope this helps. Please post back with any further questions.
