changing default time?

Hi,
I'm using Project 2002. I am trying to change the default
time so that my work days end at 10pm, instead of the
default 5pm. I can perform this task easily if I use the
default time change wizard, but if I try to do it manually
(under tools - change working time) it does not make any
changes to my schedule whatsoever. Any reason why the
wizard would work, but doing it manually does not? Thanks.

Hi Dion,

When changing the working time through Tools --> Change
working Time, you will need to select the column headings
(M, T, W, TH, F) to select all Mondays, Tuesdays etc.
Edit the end time of the working day to 10:00 PM. Click
on the Options... button in the dialog and make sure you
modify the default end time to 10:00 pm as well. You
will also need to make sure you modify the definition of
hours per day and hours per week.

Are you certain that you're changing to correct calendar when you try
manually? The calendar that is designated as the Project Calendar (Project
Information screen) is the one that governs tasks that have no resources
assigned while the calendar designated as the base calendar for the
resources is the one that will govern, vie the resource calendar, for tasks
that resources have been assigned to them. Did you highlight all the column
headings to change the hours for all dys of the week or did you only update
one day's working time? (That's incredibly easy to do if you're distracted,
happens to me all the time LOL)
