char spacing

I have ms works 6 . when i type in this program it doesnt space correctly. It seems to only do a 1/2 space so chars over lap each other.

I have tried reinstalling the program didnt help.

if in wordpad or notepad it is correct. also if i do a copy paste from works to notepad it looks correct in spacing.
