checking mail when Outlook starts

How do I make Outlook 2003 check my mail as soon as it starts, so say as soon as I get the notification of an email, I'd like to click on the notifier icon and have Outlook check my mail as soon as it starts

As soon as you set an automatic Send/Receive interval, Outlook will poll on
launch.

It's in Tools > Send/Receive > Send/Receive Settings > Define Send/Receive
