Clip Art Problem

B

Bill Purvis

I am using Word 2000. When I try to open the clip art dialogue box it
flashes on the screen momentarily and then disappears. This happens
everytime I click on the clip art button.
Any help would be appreciated.

Bill

I think the best alternate option is to just do a uninstall then reinstall
and apply the latest Service Pack and Patches.

That suggests a corruption in the registry data key.
See http://www.gmayor.com/my_toolbars_are_missing.htm which explains how to
delete the data key. You should then be able to run detect & repair. If not
you can run setup from windows > control panel > add or remove programs and
use the repair option for Word/Office.

Thanks Andre & Graham
Tried everything you have suggested but the problem persists.
Clip Art box still doesn't open.
Detect & Repair option still greyed out.
When I select "more autoshapes" Word crashes.
Have reinstalled, deleted data key in registry, installed latest service
pack etc etc. but still no joy.
I have decided to transfer all clip art to a separate folder and select
picture "from file" when I need to use it.
Regards
Bill
