Clip Art

MS posted some new photos on the Gallery Page for download but I wonder what
will happen if I "Select All" and download them to my computer. I'm sure I
already have some of them (there are quite a few on the download pages).
Will they just overwrite whatever I now have? Should I make a new folder to
download them to? I haven't done this before. Thanks for any guidance.

You can create a new folder for the download, as for overwriting, generally your
clips are not overwritten. Are you using the Organizer (.mpf) or the Gallery (.cil)?
Double-click the download, the images will go into your Organizer/Gallery.

Mary,

Thanks for your reply. I'm using the Clip Organizer. My main dilemma though
is, not creating duplicates and therefore using more hd disk space than I
need to. If I don't create a folder will the download just automatically
overwrite any graphics already on my hd? If so, after the download completes
I should have just one of each of the graphics, which is what I want. (I
don't seem to have any trouble finding a graphic I need when I do a search).

If you choose to open the file on site the images will automatically go into your
Organizer in their appropriate category. If you choose to save; all the packages will
have the same name "clipart", a dialogue will appear asking if you want to overwrite.
This maybe a way of not duplicating images. You could look in your downloaded folder
and see if you have duplicates and delete those. If there are duplicates the file
will have a (2) behind it. They are in a folder similar to this.
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Pictures\Microsoft Clip Organizer
After my looking at my folder it does seem duplicates are overwritten.
