color fill preview not working

When adjusting color for a fill, my preview button does not update the
change. It does changes when I select OK, but the functionality of the
preview button saves much time. Any thoughts on this?

Which version of PPT?

Which fill color preview specifically? (could you give us repro steps,
please?)

Do you have multiple objects selected? I often find preview does not work in
this circumstance.
