Color lost when pasting

O/S is Windows XP, Office is 2k3

When I paste from PPT to Word, all the color from my slide is lost. Anyone
know how to fix this?

I am actually logging this on behalf of a user I support so the details have
changed.

When selecting a chart in excel and pasting into a slide as and enhanced
metafile, all of the color of the chart (for example, bar color) all turn to
a grey scale. Any thoughts?

Kinda different. Maybe someone who uses Excel charts in PowerPoint can shed
some light on it, but I would ask if the user happens to be viewing PowerPoint
in grayscale mode. Other questions would include does this happen to other
charts and other presentations, or is it only one instance? In other words, can
the problem be duplicated if they create a new blank presentation and then paste
a newly created chart in it?

Heh, well, if they're selecting a chart in Excel and pasting into Word (your
original msg said Word), then it's probably not a PPT issue. <g>

If it is indeed PPT they're pasting into, I'm betting it's the same fix as a
similar problem. Have the user set a color printer driver as their default
printer driver and see if that takes care of it.

That worked perfectly. Thanks so much!

Do you mean the background color? How are you copying the slide in PowerPoint?
