Color Pictures

When I insert a color picture it displays as B&W. I've tried to change it through picture formating and restoring original color and it displays as color in that window, but does not change the picture in my work space.

a) What version of Windows/Publisher are you using?
b) Do you have your publication set up to use spot colours? Is it set to
black and white for commercial printing?
c) What printer do you have set as the default?
d) Does this happen with all pictures?
e) What about ClipArt?
f) What filetype is the picture that you're trying to insert?
g) What colour is your workspace?
h) Does this happen in other applications?
i) Are you using a black-and-white monitor?
j) Would you like fries with that?

In addition to Ed's advice and questions, make sure you go to View >
Pictures and have them set at High Detail.
