I'd like to find out if there is currently a field for
Completion Criteria

Its common for tasks to have this info and would like to track it outside of
the notes field.

if not, can you please advise on how to create a field for it?

thanks.

Michael,
The elements of completion criteria are different for every project.
Normally those elements are the task descriptions expressed in action
verb form. In that regard, the Task Name field is the "completion
criteria". However if you have additional descriptive information to
include, there are 30 spare text fields each for tasks, resources and
assignments, (they are all different), but each one is limited to 255
characters of text. If you need to be more verbose than that, your best
bet is to use the Notes field. It will hold a ton of text.

I'm solving a similar problem: I want a dedicated field for a task's
deliverables description. Frequently I'll need more than 255 characters to
describe a deliverable, so the 30 custom Text fields are not a perfect
solution. But since many of my deliverables descriptions will not exceed 255
characters using a Text field is viable. As JulieS pointed out in an earlier
post, hyperlinks and/or embedded documents can be appended to those tasks
requiring more than 255 positions.

So I renamed Text1 to Deliverables and I'm now populating it for my tasks.
When necessary, I write *see link attached to this task* in the Deliverables
field. I think this will work for me, and it might be viable for your
completion criteria as well.
