Hi Clayton,
In the language tool see if under 'Available languages'
it says '(all scripts)' rather than only
'Western European and U.S.'
Also check the language settings in the Keyboard/Speech
or Text Services features in the Windows Control Panel.
The templates used (including Normal.dot) may have
styles that use non-English languages and that could
enable the Complex script dialog as well. See
if starting Word 2002 in Office safe mode
(hold ctrl key when starting Word) removes that
dialog as it will bypass Normal.dot
=======
The only enabled language in Office Language Setting tool is
English (Australia)
The computer belongs to a customer of mine which contacted me last week
about Complex Scripts, I couldn't get rid of it, so I formatted and
reinstalled Windows XP and Office XP and it was gone for good, but she has
contacted me today saying it is back again, she teachers people to use
Office XP, I asked if she has any Asian students which she does and I think
one of them must have added it but it's causing problems and she wants it
removed, no one really knows how to remove it:-(
