Computer locks-up upon closing Publisher 98

After I'v been working on Publisher for alittle while, then close out,
application appears to close, however, my computer locks-up almost
completely. The only thing I can do at that point is CTRL+ALT+DEL to
restart, on the "Close Program" window says "mpub (not responding)". It's
never done this prior to my last system reload, what could cause this and how
can I fix it?

P.S. I'v already done updates & patches upon my last system reload a few
months ago.

Try this in safe mode. If all is well you probably need an upgrade in either your
printer or video driver.
