Computer stops responding when trying to attach files in office 20

When I try to attach anything in either Office 2003 or Outlook 2003 my
computer stops responding. It also happens when I try to save documents.

Right-click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop,
left-click on Disconnect Network Drive, and disconnect any mapped
drives that are not currently available.
