Contacts Lookup in Outlook 2003

I've got Outlook 2003 which I sync with my Palm device.

I'm getting frustrated with the fact that when I address an email to a
recipient (let's say "Bob Smith"), it comes up with two addresses for
Bob Smith, one is his email and one is his fax number. It doesn't
tell me which one is which though until I pick one. If I pick the
wrong one then I have to start over. Why is it listing the fax
numbers and how can I get it to stop doing that?

The standard behavior for the Outlook Address book is to display all
electronic addresses (both fax and e-mail). That behavior cannot be changed.
The only way to prevent the display of fax numbers is to store them in a
different field or to disguise them (e.g., precede them with an alpha
character) so that Outlook won't recognize them as phone numbers.
There are also a number of utilities available that can do this for you
automatically. Some are listed here:

In Outlook 2003 it is a simple matter to resize the Outlook Address Book to
make it easier to distinguish one address type from another.
