Contacts?

T

TM

I just bought a new laptop with Vista Home Premium and Office 2007 Small
Business.

I saved my Office 2003 .pst file from my old (XP/Office 2003) laptop (before
the HD crashed) and imported this file into my new install.

But where are my contacts? I thought (probably mistakenly) that this info
was in the .pst file as well.

Thanks all.

Hi TM,

Can you check if the contacts are present in the outlook
contacts folder, if contacts are in the outlook contacts folder and if they
do not appear in the new message window, then right click on OUTLOOK
CONTACTS folder and then select PROPERTIES >>> OUTLOOK ADDRESS BOOK >>>
Ensure you have a check in box which reads "show this folders as outlook
address book" now restart outlook and check if contacts appear in outlook
address book.

Regards,

Sunny

You have found one of the side effects of importing a native Outlook file.

Instead, use File->Open->Outlook Data file and browse to your old saved .pst
file.

After furious head scratching, TM asked:

Thanks! But will that duplicate any emails and other data that I've already
imported?
