Conversion of Office 2003 files to Office 2007 format.

This is the simpliest questions on the board but do you think I could find
the answer on MS Office pages? No! I haven't started yet but I have full
version of Office 2007. [1] Do I have to uninstall my Office 2003 first? [2]
Do I have to prepare the 2003 Word, Excel files etc to be accepted by the
2007 version? [3] In Outlook will I have to save a .pst file or the like and
pull into Outlook 2007 or will Outlook 2007 recognize all my messages,
contacts etc and automatically do it? I'm gun-shy from previous upgrades
over the years when I lost data. Thanks!
