CONVERT OUTLOOK 2003 PST FILE BACK TO OFFICE 2000-2002 FORMAT

Create a new pst file in Outlook 2003. Make sure you select the 97-2002
format. Copy or move items from your upgraded PST to the old format PST.

Also, typing in all caps is considered shouting and is very hard to read.

Hi Patricia

I have a similar problem to Jeremy. I have a PST file created i
Outlook XP (2003?) from the place I used to work. The version o
Outlook I have installed on my home computer and at my new job i
2002.

Is there any software or utility (other than Outlook XP itself) tha
converts a PST file back to an older version or can extract th
information out of it?

Regards

Pete

Hi, there

Outlook 2003 pst file is not compatible with outlook 2000 and 2002. then
create a new pst file in OL2003 File/new/outlook data file/outlook 97-2002
pst/ then import the data into this file and use it with OL2000 or OL2002.
This may help!!

you need to convert it on a machine that has 2003 installed - get a trial
version to do it if you don't have a friend with it installed who will let
you use his computer to do it.

NEVER import a native Outlook .pst file. Copy the data from the 2003 file
to the 97-2002 file using drag and drop. Once populated, open the .pst file
in the older Outlook using File->Open->Outlook Data File to access the .pst.

Hi Milly, Diane & Yvon

Thanks for all the responses. I don't have access at present to a cop
of Outlook 2003 - it looks like I will just have to wait until the
upgrade at the place I'm working now...

Cheers

Pete
