Convert publisher file to pdf

C

Carol Creamer

I create a quarterly newsletter using MS Publisher 2000.
I convert it to html to load on our website as well. I
really would like to convert it to a pdf file rather than
html.

Does anyone know if this is possible or have any
suggestions.

Thank you for any assistance.

Sure! Download the free PrimoPDF at www.primopdf.com and use that to convert
your Publisher publications to pdf.

You will be all set.

This Primo PDF does not really convert the Publisher file to PDF... If it does I couldn't figure out how it does it... It just turns it tnto a PDF so you can PRINT it in pdf... I'm looking for a way to convert a Publisher file into pdf, giff, tiff or JPG so I can send it to a place and make my CD covers... Every place I looked into uses Adobe... NO ONE uses Publisher... Adobe is too hard to figure out how to use... and Publisher is not an industry standard...

Let's try this again...........Doesn't convert it to a .pdf?? Well, damn! I
must be awfully fortunate because my copy does. That's pretty cool because
normally Murphy's Law kicks in and screws me over every chance it gets. Plus
my printer uses Publisher so I must be doubly blessed.

Did you talk to your printer first and ask for their mechanical specs? Not
all printing companies accept Publisher files. That's just life. You can't
expect every company to comply. I recently did an ad for a national
magazine. I had their mechanical specs up front and knew that Publisher
files are not accepted. Fine. I used another program and gave them a file
format they *would* accept.

Yes it does.

|| If it does I couldn't figure out how it does it...

Go to File > Print and choose PrimoPDF printer driver, then Print > Save PDF
to preferred location.

||It just turns it
|| tnto a PDF so you can PRINT it in pdf..

It is a PDF. It's not half a pdf or a third of a pdf, or a read only pdf. It
is a real PDF that can be printed, viewed, shared, etc.

See my replies above.

You gotta be a troll. No one on earth can be as stupid as you seem to be.

Publisher file into pdf,

Brian, am I allowed to use this guy's posts for my "Funnybone" section?

Q: Dude, I'm mad as hell. I got in my car and put it in gear, but it
doesn't move. I'm urinated off at GM.
A: Did you try using a key to start the car before putting it in gear?
Q: Now I'm urinated off at MS. I'm trying to install an expensive
($4.00) program I just downloaded from an illegal website and it tells
me to press "Any Key" to continue. My keyboard doesn't have an "Any
Key." I'm spreading the word not to buy anything from that store.
A: I don't blame you. Pack your computer and keyboard back into the
boxes and return it. When they want to know why, tell them it's because
you have been declared too stupid to use a computer.

Thanks for making my day brighter, MAH.

Who needs South Park when you can read
this newsgroup )

And just for future reference...where can I
get a program that will create one third of
a .pdf? Might be useful for printers that are
on a diet.

You'd need white ink - and we've already covered *that* topic.

we print from publisher almost every day. there are printers out here that
do, but prepare yourself to be educated by the prepress manager on how to
prepare your files for proper conversion.
if you walked into my shop displaying the type of personality and attitude
you show here, I would probably find it easier to tell you to bring me a pdf
or pay my artist to do your work for you.
