Converting a PDF file to MS Publisher

RC

I have adobe acrobat version 5.0. I have a PDF file I want to drop into and manipulate (size) into a publisher file. I am using windows XP. Is there a way to do this? I think I can convert to a eps or ps file but don't have much knowledge there.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks
Rob

You'd need something that can covert a .pdf file to something else. Acrobat goes the other direction. I use ScanSoft's PDF Converter but the results in Publisher are really iffy at best. It's usually easier to start from scratch, IMHO.

Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 does a reasonably good job. Highly complicated documents can be problematic. However, I usually have it convert to a file, then remove all formatting and place it in whatever program that I intend to use.

Thanks folks, what I should have told you I am trying to do is drop my
business card into a brochure which could be a simple cut and past but not
with a pdf. There will be a sizing issue as well and starting from scratch
is not an option as there are a lot of graphics. The original was also done
on a mac platform, probable Illustrator or whatever else they use.....

Do you think the tutorials will work with that challenge?

Thanks again, Rob

But it does allow for the saving the images. Text recovery can be achieved with
Document Imaging and OCR.

Or copy and paste, if it's a properly-made PDF.

The tutorials basically do the same as Saving As a PNG image file at
300dpi from Acrobat. Not sure whether Acrobat 5 could do that, but think
it could.
