Converting from Acrobat back to Publisher?

M

Hello--
I have created several pieces of work in Publisher last year and then
converted them to Adobe Acrobat before distributing my work. After a few
months, our company changed our files from one server to another. In doing
this, my original files are not accessible for some reason so some pieces of
work, ie: floor plans, our scanned logo, etc. is not available to me. At the
same time, my original scanner was replaced with a multi-functional device,
therefore, there is another problem. Orignally, when I would scan info into
my computer, an editing software would be available for me to change the
picture if I wanted before finalizing the look. However, that is no longer
available. Needless to say, that program is gone so if I wanted to scan a
picture into my computer and start over, I can't. Somethings are missing.
Please help me figure out what to do and how to get back to being productive.
My question is: is there a piece of software that I am missing now, is a
simple connection problem occuring, can I convert my Adobe Acrobat work back
to Publisher so that I can access my floorplan and move it to another flyer,
etc? Please help! Thanks, Miesha Ross

You can try Insert, object, Adobe Acrobat X, whatever version you have. Or you can
convert the file to .ps and open it in an editing program.

CorelDraw will open PDF files and for the most part the formatting is in intact.

Don't forget Photoshop will too.

I think you're right forgot abt that.

|
| Only as a raster file, AFAIK. No good for editing text or extracting
vector
| graphics.

You know, I think that is the program I had on my previous computer, but now
that program is not on my current computer and the disk is nowhere to be
found. Is that an expensive program to order or is there another way for me
to get another?

Thank you for your information. Should I do this by opening Adobe Acrobat x
while Publisher is open? The same question is for the steps to converting
the file to .ps. Should I be doing this while in Publisher? Thanks, Miesha

Scansoft has a PDF Converter for Word/Publisher. It's not free, but you can
find it at www.scansoft.com. They might have a downloadable demo.

Warning: Your results might not be quite what you are hoping for. (I have
the program - it's better with just a plain Word doc than anything "fancy".)
