converting to PDF

I am working in Publisher 2007 and have my pages set up so that when it
prints it will print two of the same page on a single 8.5" x 11" sheet of
paper. When I started my document I tested the PDF conversion and it would
appear like I had it set up.

After working on my pages for awhile I tested it again and when my document
gets converted to PDF it is converting with only one page per sheet, even
though it is still set up correctly in the .pub version. If anyone has any
ideas on what will fix this so that my PDF has two of the same page per sheet
please let me know.

When you "Print" to a PDF you can:
"Pages Per Sheet Prints a predefined number of pages, or a custom number (up
to 99), horizontally and vertically during N-up printing. If you select a
predefined number from the menu, Acrobat automatically selects the best
paper orientation."

Reading further, you are asking to print two copies in one pass. Is that
right?

How are you doing the setup?
I've had the best success setting up multiple pages per sheet this way:
File, Page setup, Advanced (on the right), select Multiple pages per sheet.
Type 5.5 width... 8.5 height
Paper size, custom, type width 11" ... height 8.5...Zero side, top and gaps. The
mini preview will say two columns of one.
This setup will preview two per sheet on both a printer and Acrobat (PDF). If
you give this custom setup a name it will ready the next time you need this type
publication.

I have the pages setup like you suggested, but I'm wondering if my master
pages are causing the problem. I have two different master pages, which are
almost exactly the same except for that my left and right margins on each are
slightly different on each. This is to accomodate binding these pages in
production. Do the master pages need to be the same in order to get the two
pages per sheet in pdf?

If the master pages are different you can insert a page and have page two a
different master page. Both pages will have two copies per sheet with different
margins.
