Copy as a document link into Calendar Appointment.

When I copy a file as a document link into a Calendar Appointment, the link
is created but when I hover over the link, the "hand" has a circle with a
line through it. It will not take me to the document. If I paste that same
link to another tool, the link performs as expected. Any ideas?
