copy files to .jpg and printing

Have Pub. '03 but I don't think that is the issue. I'm trying to copy a photo
layout in Pub. by selecting all and pasting them into Photoshop and saving as
..jpg. No problem until I try to send them to photo printer (like Sams,
CostCo, etc.) The Pub. layout is 8"x10". The layout that gets saved to .jpg
and is sent to be printed is larger than 8"x10". I'm trying to get
professional look but I'm stumped. Is this a Publisher problem, Photoshop
problem or am I expecting too much?

Why not just save it as a .jpg in Publisher and skip Photoshop?

Publisher 2003 can save as JPEG...
just go to...File / Save As...and open
the 'Save as type' drop window...and
scroll down to JPEG. And...after selecting
JPEG you can click the Change button
and increase the dpi to 300.
