Copy from another document into a new document

I was wondering if anyone knows how to create a macro that will copy a
selection from one document (just a part of the document) into the current
document. That way I would only need to click a button to run the macro and
it will paste the info from one document (that is not open) into the current
document that I am working on. Is this possible?

Before we get into this, have you looked at the AutoText function?
Otherwise, look into the use of bookmarks in your source document to
identify the text to be copied.

I don't really want it to be linked to the document like with a bookmark, I
would just like it to copy the information and paste it into the current
document. Basically the other document would be a template, which I would
fill in the pertinent information. This is a procedure I repeat often and
instead of typing it in everytime, or opening up a template and copying and
pasting I would like to just press a button to run a macro that takes the
information from the other document, without opening it up, and copies it
into the current document.

Autotext is what you should be using. That's what it is made for.

Thanks guys, I finally figured it out using the AutoText, wow that is a
really powerful tool.
