copy paste acting weird

Hi, maybe someone can help me, im working on a presentation, but when trying
to copy an object or text it doesnt works, if i copy the object, when i try
to paste it it only opens a new text box, but empty and i cant copy... any
idea of why?

What are you trying to copy and paste? What version of PowerPoint are you
using?
