copying data from subform into form

Hi there, I have selected record in a sub form, in that
sub form I have a button that opens a new form in add
mode. I would like to know if I could copy the selected
record from the sub form into the new record of the newly
opened form just by clicking on the button inside the sub
form.
Is this possible without using visual basic code? I am not
familiar with it. But if there is no other solution, I
will try.
