Copying outlook inbox/contacts from old install

Hi,

I have an old corrupted installation of xp which won't boot up (xp repair
fails). However, the drive this (and ms outlook) are on is accessible when
running as a slave drive to a new installation, so I can access pretty much
all the files on it (it just won't boot).

Is it possible to copy files across from my old installation to a new one to
retrieve my inbox/contacts/calendar etc? If so, which ones?

Thanks in advance!

*.PST file(s) will contain your email, calendar, contacts, .etc. The *.PAB
file is the legacy personal address book. The files could be located at:

\documents and settings\<userid>\application data\microsoft\outlook or
\documents and settings\<userid>\local settings\application
data\microsoft\outlook

Probably the best method to move across is to create a data folder somewhere
(e.g. C:\My Stuff) and then use the mail applet in the control panel to add
the old files to your mail profile and remove the new ones (unless you
already have new mail in them). Thru this mail applet you can configure
what is considered the default mail delivery location.
