Hi,

I would like to put copyright on my page so that visiters can't copy
anything from my page. Can one do this in frontpage. I work on Frontpage
2000.

....and prove that you've sustained actual damages - nearly impossible and/or
expensive.

| Everything you publish is already copyrighted (in most countries).
| Everything you publish will be copied - it has to be copied into the
| browser cache to be seen in a browser.
|
| You cannot protect anything you place in a website. You can, however,
| sue miscreants for breach of copyright, if you can identify them and
| afford the fees.

Yes just Insert the copyright symbol, the year and your name...it won't stop
anyone but it looks pretty.

It's like putting up a burglar alarm sign on your front lawn without
actually having an alarm installed. "The alarm installed" part of the
analogy is how much money you have to bring an infringement suit against
someone.

I have seen on some website....if you right click and want to copy, a
message comes up to say that there is Copyright on this website and you can
try but there is no way that you can copy pictures from that website. Does
Frontpage have a option like that?

You CANNOT protect images or anything else on the web. The image is
already in your browser cache when the page loads.

No-right-click scripts are no protection at all. Use the menus at the
top of the browser to get the images - File->Save As and choose web page
complete - this gets every image on the page in one go.

Show me a site with that script, and I will show you the images.

I am so new at this I'm embarassed to speak (type) however I will add one
comment. Re: images, the max dpi you need for your image to appear on
someone's screen is 72 dpi per inch. So limit the dpi to the maximum visible
image you want them to see - which will be way less than the number needed to
steal your images - as to print or sell. They may still your image and use it

You can put that kind of thing on if you want, but it usually pisses people
off that want to quickly bookmark your page, besides there are SO many ways
around that that it's just a waste of time.

BTW...you don't need to copy images since they are automatically downloaded
to the viewers machine. Browse your temp internet folder sometime with an
image viewer and you'll see them all.
