My friend received two emails today. As she was reading the first email her computer crashed. After restarting the computer several times the two emails were not visible. She is not able to display any new emails despite the bar at the bottom saying that emails are being received. The 'Unread Mail' folder icon is faded and when clicked says that the outlook.pst file is in use and can not be accessed. It says to close any application that is using this file and then try again. Outlook is the only program using this file. Is the pst file corrupted and is there any way of fixing it without losing previous emails? Many thanks.
