create a new outlook appointment from within Word

While working in Word, I'd like to hit a key sequence or menu button and have
a new Outlook appointment window pop up. I'm sure I'm missing something, but
I cant seem to find anything to do that.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

G'day KevinR <[email protected]>,

Look through the tasks list for outlook, if not present, start it. If
it is present, use it to pop up. Make a reference to the outlook
library (VBE > Tools > References) if you want to use early binding
and look at the Outlook object model. Outlook newsgroups would be a
better place to ask. Also see

word.mvps.org/FAQs/index.htm

for its VBA tab.
