If you are using 2002 or 03 use one of the brochure template setups. You will
get the idea how the folds are placed. Be aware of your printer margin
limitations.

Thank you Don

I have Publisher 2003.

Unfortunately i followed your steps but i could not find Special Fold and
therefore could not follow the rest of your instructions. Sorry, I'm just not
very familiar with Publisher.

Any other ideas?

Oh and i just LOVED your little love note!!! Charming!

Thanks.

I did go into the Brochure setting but unfortunately it only had 1 fold.

I need 2 folds on a horizontal page, therefore 1/3 of an A4.

I could not find any option to let me increase the folds on the page.

Can you please assist?

Thank you.

I normally use the supplied brochure templates as suggested by Mary but if
you're using an older version that does not have that facility you can
simply start a new Publisher document and use File / Page Setup to set the
orientation to Landscape. Then use the Insert / Page menu (or the equivalent
on your own version) to add a new page. You can then place two guide lines
on each page at the appropriate positions and then position the rest of your
stuff (text boxes, pictures, etc) within those guide lines. Remove the guide
lines just before you print. Remember to make sure that you do not position
stuff too close to the left or right edges (as viewed) because most printers
cannot print right up to the edge of the page (up to half an inch gap is
typical on many printers at one or more edges). By the way, if (as you say)
you are using A4 paper then you cannot possibly produce a brochure of a
finished size 110 x 220 mm (your stated requirements) because the page
simply is not big enough. It will be reasonably close to that size though.

I have to ask what the difference is between A4 and A4DL?

DL is a standard envelope size that is designed to accommodate an A4 sheet
that has been folded twice along its length (folded into three sections).
The size of the DL envelope (110 x 220) is therefore slightly larger than
the folded A4 page (99 x 210). I don't think you can purchase card or paper
that has the size of 110 x 220 when folded (which would make the paper size
330 x 220 instead of the standard 297 x 210 A4 size) although specialist
suppliers might provide such stock if you buy large enough quantities
(A4DL)?
