creating a download file

How can I make a file or image file downloadable when
clicked upon? I need for my client to be able to
download there image files if needed from my site.

Make sure that the folder allows browsing on the host server, then, when
they call the folder up on the server via the browser, it will list all the
folders/images it contains.
