Creating A Roll Over

In frontpage 2002 I am trying to create buttons that when
either clicked on or on mouse hover create an explosion.
When adding the explosion it replaces the original
Icon/Button. Is there a way around this? Thanks.

Do you mean you want the "explosion"
to appear somewhere else??

No, I actually want the explosion to replace the
hyperlinked picture I have as a button to seem like the
item exploded after being hovered over with the mouse or
possibly after clicking it.

OK,
You need to use the dhtml mouseover effects,
and have the "explosion" replace the original
image using the onmouseover event.

How exactly do I acheive this. Sorry, am new to all this
and have been using this forum to learn. So far everyone
has been of great help.

With the page open click once on the image you want to replace.
Then on the DHTML effects Toolbar, Choose an event, select on mouseover,
then Choose an effect, select Swap Picture, then in Choose settings
select Choose picture.

Dittohead-
I created a page for this using DHTML effects. First I placed a static
image of a bomb on the page and then I selected that image, Chose >Format
Dynamic HTML effects, chose the option of Mouse Over, Swap image, and
selected some animated flames. The URL for this page follows, and the bomb
will 'explode' when you do a mouseover.

mike,
I don't know if you're using a preload script for the flames because it's a
little slow on the first mouse over.
I've used this trick instead of a mouseover:
just put the flame somewhere on the page in an inconspicuous location, then
select it/ picture properties/ size and set it as 1px by 1px. that way the
picture is already there. ;-)
easier than a preload too.

No, I didn't use a preload, partially because I didn't know of it and
because I did this on the fly for the guy. I will remeber this for future
reference though.

fwiw
what i've done is make an extra folder in outlook express called fp tips.
when i see something i need or know i'll need i just click and drag the
message from the main window into the fp tips folder.
I wish i would have done it with a post about fp includes into an aspx file.
;-)
