creating a spreadsheet and some how importing the data across with a link.

Hi all,


If I have a list of columns and rows in excel to import into Microsoft
project how do i go about doing that?

I would also like the data in the spreadsheet to be updated as and when
changes are made on excel or ms project.

Sheila,

May I suggest that you consider only performing data entry into one or the
other, and not both MS Project and Excel? I have used OLE (i.e., Copy/Paste
Special) to create spreadsheets with summary data from MSP that have saved me
from the old days when I used to redownload data every time I wanted to
update some weekly/monthly reports. My gues on the bi-directional updating is
that it would take some fancy VBA code on both sides to accomplish, unless
you use an Access database to feed data to both (I haven't tried this,
though).
