Creating custom data types in Visio 2007

I'm trying to create my own data types in Visio for my ERD. My ERD is for an
Oracle database, and I need to display the data types in my ERD. The list of
data types I have does not include NUMBER, which is an Oracle data type, it
only has NUMERIC, which is an Access data type. So I try to type in NUMBER
and I get a message box that instead directs me to NUMERIC.

So I tried to go to the Database menu and select "User Defined Types" and I
created a NUMBER data type, but when I go to use that data type in my ERD, it
doesn't display NUMBER, it displays LONG or SHORT or something.

What am I doing wrong?? And how do I do the impossible of displaying an
Oracle data type in a Microsoft product?

Thanks for any help!!
