Hi,

We have a workspace which seems te be working fine until newly created users
try to create a issue.

Myself and other user can create iisues but not the new ones.

We have given them view only rights to the workspace and full rights to the
issues list.

The error: "An unexpected error has occurred."

Hi theWall,

I have seen this issue before when the user that you added to your workspace
is not a Proejct Server user. Can you confirm that this is the case? if so
you will need to make them Project Server users. That should resolve your
issue
Hope this helps

Hi Marc, the users is not members under the Project server's users. We dont
really want them be be users there but i guess it is worth a show. It is
strange thaugh because other workspaces is working fnie like that.

One issue thaugh, we have deleted the webspace to try and recreate it and
now it wont recreate, msg:

First that it already excist and now i get a msgbox wih no msg....

Anyidea, this must be a bug?

Hi thewall,

yeap, that is strange. try out to creat ethem as a project server member and
see if this resolves the issue. If it is a client problem, you may need to
check the difference between the client where it works and the one where it
doesnt work.

In regards to the new site. How do you create the new site? and do you have
any error messages in the event log?
Thanks
Marc

The Wall,

are you sure that you deleted the previous site or did you only delete the
project? The event log tells me that the old site still exists.
How do you try to create the new site?

Hi, the project still excist. There is data in the project so only wanted to
delete the workspace. I have now recreated the workspace. Just used a
diffrent name for the workspace.

I have now added the user as a Project server user and it works he can
create Issues.

Now my problem:

This user is e external user, not part of the company so i cant give him
access to anywere in the project Server except the specific Workspace and
project...

If i deny all the checkboxes under the Project server user are denied i am
back to squere 1 and it does not work.... So i need to know what i need to
keep unchecked for workspaces and projects to still work.

Hope this makes sence...

If you want security syncronization to work correctly between Project and
the Project Workspaces, do not customize the secuirty directly on the
Project Workspaces, otherwise you break inheritence and the site may not
function correctly for your internal users. There are a number of ways to
skin this cat, but they require more effor than simple interface
manipulation and a full understanding of your requirements. If you go the
route of creating a Project Server User, you need to know how to handle the
secuirty in the system. The other method might be to extend the SharePoint
site to a different zone. Either way, it may require more than a simple
newsgroup post to guide you through this.
