Currency format

When I used Word 97, I had merge documents which used
Excel data, and the currency formatting carried over.
Now I have 2002, and the formatting is lost. i.e. $30.00
in the excel data sheet shows as 30 in the word document.

Solved my own problem (with help from G. Mayor) by
forcing a DDE link with the data file - worked great!
