cursor disappears - help

I am using FP 2003. When I go to edit a page, the "|" disappears. I've
applied all the updates and have used the Repair function twice, but still
can't figure it out.

Carl,

I am experiencing same issue. Do you also lose "|" in "type a question"
text box? (all my Office Pro apps fail this area) Other newsgrops have
suggested hardware accelerator adjustment. Didn't work for me though.
